Farewell Lolo

I lost my grandfather just recently. He is 89 years old, though I was'nt able to go to his funeral...I know grandpa knows my prayers are with him. He suffered from heart failure due to old age. I don't have so many fond memories of my "Lolo" (as I fondly call him). The only memories I have with him is when I was still young...my father would usually leave me in their house for lunch while he, along with his brothers, would go to a nearby horse race track to gamble. Usually, Lolo would give me a hundred bucks when its time to go home. I heard from my father that lolo died broken hearted. He was not able to get the proper care necessary for an elder person. His sons and daughters who is living with him before does'nt seem to care if lolo is already stinking with dirt, pee in his pants, wander around. He was not given the proper attention and love he needed...so maybe, I think because of that...he already gave up...

If there'll come a time in the future that the same situation happens to me...I would not let my parents suffer the same fate as what Lolo had. I would take care of them myself...or if I think I am not capable to handle that and if I feel that a professional care is necessary - I would send them to the best nursing home there is. With these thoughts in mind...I began checking on senior care reviews of nursing homes since I only want the best for my parents. I'll make sure they will be comfortable and happy on their last years - that would be the least thing I can do and my way of saying "thank you" for taking care of me and loving me unconditionally. Bye to our Crazy TL...

Well what can i say?! Our crazy but lovely TL Chrisse will now be leaving for CVG Bacolod today. We already knew about this 2 months ago pa but only now have the thoughts really sinked in to my heart. For almost 1.5 years...she was our constant kachicka, our mentor, our refuge (lalo na pag me nangaaway samin), our advisor...our friend. There are a lot of tough times (you bet) but those are surpassed by the happy and funny memories we shared together. As she always say, our team might not be the best but we are disciplined (in a way) and we make sure that we play fair (especially metrics wise). She might not be the best coach but she have imparted so much of herself to the team and she makes sure that none of us will go astray as far as our professional careers are concerned. She've touched our lives in so many ways and we'll definitely gonna miss her laugh. I don't think we can still laugh as hard when she's already gone. But of couse, we are also happy now that she already knows what path to take. I know God approved this plan as here she is, chasing her dreams. I just hope and pray that God would continue to pour her blessings to our dear TL Chrisse and I hope that her team in Bacolod would take care of her more that we did here in Manila. She deserves better than what she had with the CVG Ortigas. So to you dear TL Chrisse...I know this is not goodbye. Dadayuhin ka namin jan sa Bacolod promise! Thanks for everything TL. Till we meet again!
