My Happiest Birthday Celebration Ever

Last February 22... I celebrated the Happiest Birthday of My Life... It was really full of surprises and celebrating it with people you love the most made it extra special. I really don't intend to celebrate it this year...besides the fact the Mama is in Bangued Abra...I don't know if my friend Mamu will make it in Manila. But by faith I decided to go for it. I have sooo many friends so I decided to just celebrate my birthday by batches. February 22 will be with my kafatids and officemates...Feb 24 will be for my Father's family and Jojo's family...Feb 28 will be with Mama and my siblings and my bestfriends in College and Highschool. I knerrr...madugo ang magcelebrate ng birthday especially pag marami kang kamag anak and friendships pero okey lang basta I get to see them at least once a year. Anyways...I woke up at around 6:00 AM - sooo excited na ayusin ang bahay for the party. Jojo started to clean the house at take note pati yung tapat ng kapitbahay namin winalis! Hahaha! Anyways, dumating si Melai @ around 9:30 am and naghiwa na kami ng mga ingridients for the lumpia as well as for the pancit. Then Utoy came with a big chocolate cake. Hehehe. Yung pinakamalaki raw ang binili nya kasi baka mapahiya kami sa mga bisita. He started helping Melai sa pag-aayos ng mga ingridients. I asked Jojo na kumuha ng malaking kawa sa kanila for the Pancit and to buy some additional stuff for the handa. It was a very tiring yet enjoyable experience. I started preparing the Pancit, then the Afritada and then later the Lumpia. Utoy started preparing the Maja Blanca. Nakakatawa pa nga kasi nagpahinga ako ng saglit and paglabas ko..nakita ko si utoy halo ng halo at hindi na alam ang gagawin kasi bukol bukol ang itsura nung maja blanca na hinahalo nya...hahaha! Nagpanic kami at buti naman naremedyuhan nung hinati ko sya into 2 at nilagay ko sa isa pang kaserola yung half. Hehehe. Then Mamu and Jon2 came at around 3 PM with a Cake and Wine at take note...me gift ang mga hitad! Hahaha... me drama pa pala yun...hirap na hirap daw silang sindihang yung candle kasi mahangin sa labas so dahan dahan silang pumasok na parehong pawis na pawis habang kumakanta ng happy birthday. Hahaha! I was sooo touched! Parang everyone's very happy to be a part of my birthday. Anyways, at around 5:30... Ice came with Mark Yu with some sweets from Goldilocks...reunion ba ito? Hahaha, both Ice and Mark are my wavemates in CVG at ang mga natitirang matatatag sa batch. Hehe. So inumpisahan na ang ngawaan at nagvideoke session na...Later that night, dumating sina Sisay and Mitch with a cake, wow! 3 na cake ko! Yahoo! We had videoke session till 11 na ata yun! It was a fun and memorable day. I was soo touched especially when I've learned that Utoy made a video presentation for my birthday. Grabe, nanginginig ako sa tuwa because I never thougth our Utoy will take time to interview our teammates and even our Tl and ask them to give a message for me on my birthday. Grabe, pinigilan ko talaga luha ko kasi nakacontact lens ako...pero nung pinanood ko sya ulit...naging emotional ako talaga and hindi lang ako umiyak..humagulgol ako (literal). I was really touched sa effort nila na pumunta dito kahit sampung bundok ang kailangang suungin para makarating.

First, ke Melai na dumating ng sobrang aga pumunta sa bahay para tulungan akong maghiwa ng patatas at kerots...tinulungan nya rin akong maghugas ng pinggan at maglinis ng bahay. Day, di kita makakalimutan! Hahaha. Seriously, I ssooooo love you Melai. You are such a sweet and loving soul and thanks for always being there....


Utoy, thanks for helping me prepare for my bday bash. The moment you texted me that you are coming early para me katulong ako really shocked me kasi kahit minsan di ka naman tumulong magluto diba? I even texted you back saying "siguraduhin mong makakatulong ka utoy ha!" and true enough...you helped us a lot! Sya po ang naghiwa ng repolyo at ng 2nd batch ng carrots pati ng sitsaro. hehehe. Sya rin, together with Melai, ang nagbilot bilot ng shanghai habang nanonood sila ng ASAP live. Nasermunan ko pa sila kasi ang bagal nila hihihi. And lastly, I really appreciate the video, yun pala yung kailangan mo ke Bern2 at Rhum ha kaya sabi mo sa quickcomm pupuntahan mo sila...hehehe. I so love you Utoy! You deserve nothing and noone but the best!

Third, To my sisterretes Mamu and Chow...gurls, I really appreciate you both. Thanks for bringing sunshine to my gloomy life. Since nakilala ko kayo, naging mas outgoing ako at mas nagenjoy ako sa buhay. Thanks Mamu for being on my birthday though alam kong me important matters kang ginagawa sa Agoo and you came to Manila just because you want to be with my birthday. Chow, thanks for putting life on my party. Nung nakita ko ngang me dala kayong cake, wine and gift...sabi ko nalang..."Aba, bago to ah! Me pera kayo gurls?" Hahah, I soo love the gift and your presence most of all. My birthday wont be complete without the both of you...

Fourth, Ice...my friendship for almost 3 years now. Gurl,thanks for taking time out na pumunta dito though kasal ng pinsan mo. I really appreciate it. Alam mo naman ngayon lang ako nagcelebrate ng birthday with you guys ang I thank you at talagang pumunta ka kahit na magkabilang dulo ng gliner ang bahay natin. Thanks for bringing our wavemate mark na nakabonding ni Jojo. So pano ba yan, magkumpare at magkumare na tayo. Hehehe. Seriously, thanks for being a kind of friend I can share my secrets with. Thank you kasi me taga tawa ako at sobrang naaappreciate ko pag niloloko moko about things na nasabi ko noon na nakakatawa at naaalala mo talaga. Basta, I soo love you bebe gurl. You know also that you can always count on me.

Fifth, Sisay..thanks talaga for showering my birthday with your presence. Talagang diko ineexpect na you can make it kasi you said sa qc na titignan mo and I am surprised when you called PJ asking for direction on how to get to my place. I sooo thank you gurl. I know we never had the chance to bond and you know what, I even thought you are suplada and hindi mo feel ang kajologsan ko but I am sooo happy that you proved me wrong. I even told Ice "Ang bait pala ni Sisay noh" when I realized that you are really not snobbish as what I first perceived you to be. Thanks so much sis and I would never forget this!

Sixth, Mitchie! I soo love you Mitchie! Thanks for sharing with me the secrets beyond your Mother's special Maja Blanca. Alam mo, I was touched the moment you typed sa Quickcomm excitedly na "Mimz, eto na yung ingridients sa Maja sabi ng mama ko...ay wait me call" hahaha. To think na akala ko nakalimutan mo na, you really took time to ask your mom and ikaw pa nagpaalala sakin. Tenks so much mitchie and since nakainom ka na ng Gin Bilog...kasama ka na sa grupo. Hehehe.

Got A Digicam and A Ring for Valentines!

I've got a a digicam and a ring for Valentines. Actually, the Sony W120 is my gift for myself (hahaha) and the ring is Jojo's gift. I really want to have a Sony digicam with a wide screen...unlike the previous cam I had which only have 2.0 inch screen for picture viewing. I bought the pink version because the first time I saw it on an online store... I immediately fell in love with it. I purchased it online and met the guy with Imee and Perl @ Megamall after shift. After the transaction, we went straight to Dad's to meet the rest of our teammates... we plan to have a pre-Valentines celebration with their "eat all you can" merienda. It's really worth it...for just P139 you can eat a wide variety of food such as carbonara, palabok, dinuguan, puto, cake, siomai, siopao, lumpiang sariwa among others. It was such an enjoyable experience with the team with Jonjon (Mamu's better half) and Janet (Dee ate who shocked me as she know's all of our name though this is the first time we met her, hahaha). I with Melai, Perl and Jon went straight to greenhills to meet Jojo as Melai planned to buy a new CPU. Unfortunately, there is no stock left for the kind of CPU Melai wants to purchase so we just call it a day at 5:00 PM. Meanwhile, Jojo and I went straight to Greenhills Shopping Center to buy a screen protector and a pouch for my new Camera. Went home past 8:00 PM. On valentines day itself, I was shocked as Jojo gave me a silver ring. It's really not his personality - he would always tell me that since he is giving me all the money he have..I might as well purchase whatever I want to buy for myself instead of asking him to give me a gift. We usually argue about that, of course as a girl, I want to be surprised. But this year, since he is just working at home with our online venture, I really am not expecting anything from him and I was shocked that he took time to buy me this ring. I am so happy and I would never forget this day that though our Valentines is only spent watching a movie, eating out in a not so fancy restaurant and later doing our grocery... we spent it together and I really enjoyed every minute of it. I am so happy that after 4 years of celebrating Valentines together...we are still the same in love couple we used to be. I love you Jojo and I wish to celebrate the next 50 Valentines day with you alone....

Manong Wants to Configure his Wireless Connection

Yesterday I had a caller and I helped him configure his wireless connection. I can tell he is a Filipino because he is using words such as "wait a minute ah" and "come again?" - I can also tell that he is on his late 40's or 50's and very novice when it comes to computer . I can also hear a Tagalog song playing on the background. He is really having a hard time speaking in English because I can also hear from the background that he is asking one of his companions what is the English of this and that so he could explain what he is seeing on his screen. The conversation lasted for almost an hour because he I need to "tagalized" all my instructions such as "pull up Internet Explorer"...I need to say open Internet Explorer or if I need to ask him to right click I need to say "what you do is you are using the regular left click, to do a right click - do the opposite" (kahit ako nalilito na rin, hahahah!) Well umubra naman kay kuya ang mga troubleshooting steps ko kahit na di nya naiintindihan pag iniislang ko ang mga words...so what I did is I talk to him not as an American guy but as a Filipino manong without any slangs and jargons etc etc. After a very looong hour...Manong was able to connect to the internet! Yahoo! It would be such a relief because I really need to go to the washroom after that to pee. What happened next shocked me... he asked "From where are you here in the States?" (hahaha) and since we are allowed to say where we are located...I said am currently in the Philippines. Manong laughed very hard saying " I knew you are a Filipina....I can tell from your accent...do Americans understand you" followed by another "mapanlait" na laugh. Wahhahahahaaha! Sobrang inis ko talaga. I am not pretending to be an American...in fact, since I know he is a Filipino...I adopted to his language...to his phasing...to his accent to make it easier for him to follow my instructions (though we are required to talk like an American at all times). I did everything to make it easier for him and yet what I got is a laugh and a phrase that somewhat means..."PANO KA NATANGGAP SA CALL CENTER SA GANYANG ACCENT MO???" I was so strucked by what he said so I just laughed along with him saying "luckily they do..." and I said my closing script. Huhuhu, diko man lang nabawi dignidad ko sa call na yun. Sana lang hindi ako inauaudit that time because for sure...I would get a very low score in intonation and choice of words. Inis na inis ako talaga ke manong pero ngayon...natatawa nalang ako pag naaalala ko. Hahahaaha! Buhay call center nga naman oo!

i miss my best buddy

I miss my gayest gayest gayest friend Mamu. I've been without him for almost 2 weeks now and honestly... my day is'nt complete without him. No MAXCAP, no LOGOUTS, no LATES, no RAMPA moment sa break time, no JOKES with LAITAN on the side, no HEART to HEART talk, no LIBREHAN moments, NO ubusan ng kwento MOMENTS sa YM - NO MORE MAMU ON THE FLOOR... who would'nt be sad? It's just good that still have Melai, Perl and Ice to keep me sane through these tough times. I'm counting the days that we'll gonna be with our dear Mamu again and keep the good times alive with our wacky dabarkads! I sooo miss you Mamu!

Starcity Day!

After our shift last Friday, we decided to go to Starcity. It's really not planned, we actually planned of going there Sunday morning - but Mamu informed us that he needs to go back to Agoo on February 1 so we have no choice but to just go with the flow. After a very busy day, grabe a lot of calls talaga...nareskill pa kami one hour bago kami umuwi. phew! Sobrang nakakapagod...buti nalang I am looking forward sa end of shift because kung hindi..hay naku, nasira na ang araw ko. Anyways, after getting our salary - we immediately went to Robinsons Galleria. It's our meeting place and waited for Jojo, Bennie, Mamu and Jon. I called Mamu up and he said Jon just woke up and they will be in Gale within an hour. So we just waited. We met Jojo, then Bennie came after 30 mins followed by Jon and Mamu. We decided to take MRT going to Taft and would just take a cab from Taft to Starcity. It was really a very enjoyable day with my friends. The first ride we tried was the "Star Flyer" - actually, I really don't want to ride that because there is a loop in the end. I don't think I can handle that, but my friends keep on teasing me and finally I gave in. It was a great experience. It's nice that the ride only lasted for barely 2 minutes. I'm fortunate I did'nt tried the "Galaga Ride" because after they tried that, I cant hear anything but complaints. LOL! Next stop was "Gabi ng Lagim" - and of all people, I don't expect my hubby Jojo to say "Labas ng tayo!" Hahaha! We also tried "Surf Dance" - one of the best rides I rode so far in my entire life as well as the ever famous "Bump Car". They also rode "Magic Carpet" but I refused to join as I am already very dizzy. We also saw a "Ballet Presentation" on their mini theatre entitled "High School Musikasayahan..." - Pinoy Version of High School Musical. It's just sad that Jonjon have to leave early since he still have a shift at 10 pm. They tried Ferris Wheel and went back to ride Surf Dance and Star Flyer for the second time. We stayed until closing time at 12 mn and as our finale...we tried the " Wild River". After a very tiring day...they decided to just spend the night with us and we went home very thirsty. We call it a night at around 2 am. It's our way to bid our farewell to our dear friend Mamu as he would leave us for a while to attend to his family's needs.
